How do you lead a business formed through the merger of three companies, growing more than 40% organically, in a way that remains human, effective, and focused on real business outcomes?
At Norrin, we’ve built a clear foundation to support this. Team leads ensure day-to-day continuity and collaboration. Our skill communities, or “guilds,” focus on deepening expertise and sharing knowledge. Projects provide the real-world environment where skills are tested and developed. And tying it all together, our People Operations team creates the structures and support systems that help everyone navigate their growth journey. That’s how each person finds their place, develops their strengths, and never feels alone amid change.
To meet the needs of a growing business, the People Operations function I lead has recently evolved. We now oversee the full scope of Norrin’s human potential. from recruitment and capability development to our employer brand. This autumn, our primary focus is capability management. We’re working closely with our delivery teams to understand exactly what skills are needed. Once we know, we act and hire or build that capability from within.
Norrin Academy - A new Level of Learning Together
In many technology companies, investing in learning is important. At Norrin, it’s essential. That’s why we launched Norrin Academy this autumn.
The Academy is run like a university, with a dedicated “professor” overseeing the program and a master–apprentice model to accelerate learning and make it scalable. The concept is simple but ambitious: we’re building a community that learns, grows, and adapts faster than the world around us. This autumn, the Academy is responding to the increasing need for data architects. We are currently training Fabric architects and placing them directly into key project roles as soon as their learning path ends.
We’re approaching a 200-person team. While the growth figures are impressive, the true meaning lies in what each individual brings: a new idea, a unique skill, a fresh perspective or the courage to try something we haven’t done before.
