Meet Kron Rexhepi, a Client & Business Director at Norrin. Kron found a natural role through an internal career path that combines sales, team management and business administration.

“I try to make myself useful and help others. I think that’s the best way to describe what I do.”

Kron has a versatile role at Norrin. His job is part sales, part team management and part business administration. He is the first point of contact for his clients, and he works closely with both the sales team and the tech team.

“My role varies depending on the project, the client, and the team. I focus on identifying what the many stakeholders on both sides needs to achieve a result that benefits everyone, and I adjust my approach accordingly.”

The job requires attentiveness, the ability to learn quickly, and the skill to engage different parties in their own language. According to him, getting along with all types of people makes up 80-90% of the work.

“My strengths are that I’m pretty sociable and I have a broad understanding of what the client-side and our team needs to succeed.”

From a consultant to Client & Business Director

Kron started at Norrin as a Data & Analytics Consultant, but he quickly noticed that there was often a language barrier between the consultants and the non-technical clients. In those situations, Kron stepped in to guide the meetings toward a shared understanding.

“I even started doing some sales on my own, which was pretty unheard of amongst techies”, Kron laughs. “That made the leadership pay attention and they offered me a new role, first in sales and then in my current position.”

For him all of this felt natural, as he doesn’t come from a purely technical background. Kron has previously worked as a management consultant as well as having been a semi-professional football player.

“My background probably led me into an active team-player role, but it’s also simply a part of who I am as person. When I see an opportunity to help a client, I will take it.”

Helping others do their best

For Kron, taking care of the client is directly linked to taking care of the team: Achieving a good result means putting together the right team for the project and establishing a positive atmosphere for collaboration and communication.

“I aim to understand what drives people and the environments where they perform best. Some thrive when they can immerse themselves in one big project, while others prefer jumping from one project to another. By recognizing these preferences, we can assemble the right team for every project.”

Kron appreciates that Norrin as a company shares his attitude. People’s individual needs are taken into account, compensation is fair and transparent, and the over-all atmosphere is of one where people are cared about.

“Obviously this is a business and it needs to be profitable. But profitability isn’t placed above people’s well-being. Working here I get a genuine feeling that people matter and their work-life balance is respected.”

As for his own work-life balance, Kron is kept busy by his newborn child. But when he has the opportunity, he plays tennis and basketball or tries to relive his glory days on the football pitch.

“Running after a ball is a good way to relax”, he says with a smile.
